Yorkshire Judo has been run by Gary Don along with his wife Liz since 1990.

However Gary's involvment with Judo began at the age of 5 .

and he studied for many years with Sensai Ron Anderson.

During this period there was a great deal of grass roots activity in Judo

and many masters from Japan visited Leeds giving Gary and his fellow

students a unique insight into the Art.

Gary went on to fight for England and the A.J.A (Amateur Judo Association)

and began to teach at other clubs around the north of England.

Eventually in 1990 Gary was asked to take over the running of the Yorkshire

Judo Association which has flourished as an organisation ever since.
